 | Last weekend was the state championships for cyclocross, and as usual Team ROG had a large contingent across the spectrum of races.

In the 3/4 race we had Tung, Drew, Gregg and Owen the manager. Gregg got the hole shot, Drew had an unusually strong start, and Tung was riding top ten. Gregg slowly slipped back, but managed a strong 15th, Tung powered in for 9th, and Drew took home 3rd, nice! The big drama occurred when Owen the manager flatted with a lap or two left, and Corey and me had to perform a wheel change. All went well until Owen took off before we got his brakes re-attached. Corey ran after him, while i maneuvered to find a viewing spot were i could await the mega crash that was sure to happen. Corey caught-up and fixed the problem and Oren finished the race off. Although, she does not race for us, Team ROG friend Natalie Stoll was second in the open womens race, and we were all super excited. Finally, in the elite race, which consisted of 14 starters, Corey and myself. Corey got the hole shot, i was about fifth, but we slowly slide back all race. Corey ended up with, i believe, 7th, and i ended up eleventh after suffering a flat. Pete had two flats, rode Owens bike around while they fixed the problem, and I finished off the race with Gregg's surley but i couldn't clip in. On to Canada next weekend.
